Popular scents of these fragrances include, but are not limited to jasmine and magnolia. Depending on the scent configuration, this category can be further subdivided into subgroups such as blue flowers, musk flowers, and fruity flowers. Our goal in this blog is to help clean the air of men’s fragrances, as there is a lot of misinformation and bad marketing. Yes, we are watching your Cologne ad. We’ll also teach you when and how to use your favorite scent exactly. Take a quick note before you begin: This blog uses Cologne as a general term. The next section describes the different types of scents, but for simplicity, we often use the term perfume.

Eau de Cologne

Like cold water, it has a low oil level (2-4%) and works transiently (usually 2-4 hours before evaporation), so there are levels around Cologne. However, since it is mainly diluted with alcohol, it has a more three-dimensional effect. A perfect balance of discreet yet strong presence, perfect for a summer scent. Don’t confuse the general term “Cologne” with perfumes, as Cologne is a slang word often used to refer to masculine scents. For scents lasting more than an hour, your body’s chemistry affects the scent throughout its lifetime. There are many different “notes” to differentiate the scent, which we will discuss in more detail later.

There is also a non-spraying form of this scent called thick perfume. I was skeptical of the concept at first, but it’s actually a very convenient (and cheap) way to add a bit of fragrance on the go. I think it’s easier to use the right amount of scent by layering a thick perfume. Check out our Black Opium.

Types of Perfumes

Citrus

Also known as the famous fragrance family, as the name implies, this genre is an energetic and spicy citrus festival. Oranges, bergamot, lemons, tangerines, citron, and grapefruit are often combined with citrus flowers and leaves and take advantage of their delicacy when dry. The citrus scent is generally harsh but is summed up as one of the most discreet and easy to wear scents of all perfumes. You can apply to Jo Malone also.

Oriental Perfumes

The oriental scents are spice, frankincense, and some woody, but overall the genre is “rich”. These scents are plentiful and can be overkill, so they are often mixed with other scents. The oriental subcategories are soft oriental, oriental, and woody. In winter, we recommend fragrances with a strong oriental scent.

Eau de Toilette

For this perfume, the aroma concentration is between 5-15% and usually remains for about 3 hours. It’s a balanced compromise between strength and duration, and it’s a solid choice for beginners. As mentioned earlier, the rating changes during the two hours of wear.

I’ve been wearing this one for years, but I’m still not tired of it. I think it shines in the cool season, but it’s perfect for scent all year round. The smell is an important part of everyone’s style. Take the time to find a fragrance that suits you and your preferences and feels confident. You can find a new scent that you will wear for years or even decades. You will be amazed when you choose our Acqua Di Parma.
